HOW TO GET YOUR DOG TO TAKE HIS MEDICATION - Pill Pocket Dog Treat

From getting them to take their supplements to treating a condition, it can be a battle to get your dog to take their medication.  We have tried numerous tricks to lure them to swallow their pills.  Sometimes we will hand feed it to them.  Other times we have put it along with their food.  However, the little boogers are clever and have managed to eat around the medication.

The one trick that they haven't managed to outsmart is the pill pocket dog treat.  Stuffing the medication in a dog treat tempts their canine senses.  With the sniffers busy, they would not know that they scarfed down their medication while enjoying their treat.

Store bought pill pockets could be expensive, so a quick recipe is all that you need.
Ingredients for Pill Pocket Dog Treat
1 tablespoon of coconut milk
1 tablespoon of peanut butter
2 tablespoon of coconut flour

Mix the ingredients in a bowl to create a nice dough.  If you don't have coconut milk, you can use water as a substitute.  You can roll the dough into a ball and stick the pill inside.  They can be stored in the refrigerator for a week.
